Bird Rock Coffee Roasters: Your Must-Visit Coffee Spot in San Diego

Bird rock is an awesome local coffee shop in San Diego. The liberty station area is such a cool little spot, with all the shops and small businesses, very walkable sidewalks and perfusion of greenery and clean streets. I’d love to be able to live here. The staff were friendly, fast and efficient. Foot traffic was steady as I sipped my latte and the team did a great job keeping up with the line and requests. I really enjoyed breakfast at Bird Rock this morning. I had a delicious cheese danish along with my vanilla latte and a to-go drip coffee. The latte was very smooth, perfect foam and the barista did a nice job pouring the milk to create a pattern in the crema, always makes for a nice espresso drink. The house medium drip was perfectly balanced flavor-wise, I could have gone for another cup. Awesome little spot.

Everyone who works at this specific location is so kind and competent! I especially appreciate Abraham. He was really fast, sweet, and made my day.

I recently tried a honey-cinnamon latte at a local cafe, and it was hands down the best I've ever had. The combination of sweet honey and warm cinnamon was perfectly balanced, with smooth espresso and a creamy froth that made every sip a delight. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was friendly—definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a delicious and comforting coffee experience.

Decided to try this place based on my resort concierge recommendation while visiting San Diego. Probably better than your Star bucks/ Peet’s but that’s about it. If you’re a specialty coffee person (like me), this may not be for you!

Nice new friendly place. I enjoyed my chai tea Latte while my friends enjoyed their cold brew and also cold brew pumpkin. One of my friend bought one of their red reusable bag for $20 and some pumpkin cold brew for $20. Their black insulated bottle was $40. There's shirts for sale, stickers and stuff also next door to Trader Joe's. Come check it out new to the liberty station

The staff were so very nice! The shop was open and had a few areas for seating. A great option if you are walking around shopping. The coffee was a little too bitter for me personally, but it wasn't too bad. If you have mobility restrictions, this shop is very open and no steps leading inside! The shelves had beans and homemade syrups to buy, and there was a restroom inside. Store had tap to pay, and is a great spot in Liberty!
